Privacy Policy

Overview

CoastIQ is a privacy-first retirement planning app. All financial calculations run entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal or financial data.

Data We Do Not Collect

• Financial information (balances, income, expenses)
• Personal information (name, age, location)
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Device identifiers for tracking purposes

Your retirement scenarios, account balances, income streams, and all other financial data are stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your iPhone or iPad.

Subscription Management

CoastIQ offers optional in-app subscriptions managed through Apple's App Store and processed by RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider. RevenueCat receives:

• An anonymous app user ID (not linked to your name or email)
• Purchase and subscription status (to verify your entitlements)

RevenueCat does not receive any of your financial planning data. Their privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Apple App Store

Purchases are processed by Apple. Apple's handling of payment information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. CoastIQ does not have access to your payment details.

Data Export

CoastIQ allows you to export your scenario data as JSON, CSV, or PDF. These exports are generated on your device and shared using iOS's native share sheet. We do not receive copies of your exports.

Third-Party Services

CoastIQ has zero third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only external service is RevenueCat for subscription management, as described above.

Children's Privacy

CoastIQ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
